Study: Vaxxed Less Likely To Die From Non-Coronavirus Causes

A new study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found those who are vaccinated against Covid-19 are less likely to die for any reason – including non-coronavirus causes. https://twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/1451956586151178246 From Forbes:

Partially and fully vaccinated people died from non-coronavirus causes at a lower rate than their unvaccinated peers, according to the study, which looked at millions of patients at seven U.S. health organizations from December to July.

All three vaccines approved by U.S. regulators were tied to lower non-Covid death rates, though the difference in mortality among people who took Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine was slightly smaller than for recipients of Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccines.

Researchers say these results underscore the point that getting the vaccines do not increase a risk of death. In fact, the study “reinforces the safety profile of currently approved COVID-19 vaccines.” Read the full article here. In September, the CDC released a report showing vaccinated Americans were 10 times less likely to be hospitalized for Covid-19 and 11 times less likely to die than unvaccinated people. That study, of over 600,000 Covid-19 infections across 13 U.S. cities and states from April to July, found fully vaccinated patients made up only 8% of cases. https://twitter.com/DrTomFrieden/status/1451603084275236867 https://twitter.com/DrTomFrieden/status/1451927777037459456
