Donald Trump backed down Thursday from plans announced by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Pentagon to livestream the December 3 firing squad execution of former U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009.
“He will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed,” Trump wrote on social media.
Along the way, the Donald took time to try and blame former President Obama for the deadly shooting.

The announcement came just hours after the results of a new Washington Post/ABC News poll were released showing Americans overwhelmingly oppose live-streaming the execution.
