Stumping for Republican candidates in Tennessee last night, Donald Trump floated the idea of renaming more bodies of water after changing the names of Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico.
“We’ve got the gulf. We’ve got a beautiful lake,” Trump said as his mind meandered. “Now, somebody said, you need a river. … We need a river. We need an ocean.”
He then hit upon the idea that he could rename an ocean in honor of – who else? – himself.
“We call it ‘Trump Ocean’ or, or, ‘Ocean of the Americas,’ something like that,” Trump said to slight applause. “Before I get out, I think we should have an ocean. And we need a great river.”
Trump says he may change the name of the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean to “Trump Ocean” https://t.co/X6eEnrwFXp
