Some news items for you as we close out the weekend:
• KMOV: 58-year-old Michael Goessling (above), who was adopted as an infant, spent decades wondering about his biological roots. He was recently reunited with his birth parents and discovered his father is five-time Grammy-winning artist Michael McDonald. You totally see the resemblance.
• The Fight: I know the word “queer” can get some folks back up. Here’s an excellent op-ed piece on the term and why the LGBTQ community embracing it isn’t a bad thing.
• Queerty: Calvin Brown nearly competed in the Junior Olympics for track. But the dance studio was calling his name. After stints with the Miami Marlins in MLB and the Washington Wizards, Brown hooked up with the Atlanta Hawks.

• What To Watch: Academy Award winner for “Best Picture” Moonlight joins the Netflix lineup this month, and it’s always a good rewatch.
The landmark 2016 drama chronicles the life of “Chiron” through three defining chapters of his youth, adolescence, and early adulthood. The film is celebrated for its tender, poetic exploration of Black masculinity, identity, and first love.
• JoeMyGod: Two weeks ago, Donald Trump called voting by mail a “disaster” and a “SCAM.” Today, he urged his cult to make sure they vote in the midterm elections whether by in-person, early voting, or “by mail.”
Republicans must WIN the 2026 Midterm Elections, and we must use every appropriate tool — Whether you vote early, absentee, by mail, or in-person, we must “swamp” the Radical Left Dumocrats with massive turnout! SO IMPORTANT — PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP
