• Gay Times Magazine: Mexico’s first openly gay mayor, Benjamin Medrano Quezada (above), was shot and killed after leaving a ice cream shop in the Santa Elena de la Cruz neighborhood. He was 59.
• The Advocate: The Trump administration has caved to public pressure after an avalanche of opposition to an HHS proposal that threatened funding for hospitals providing gender-affirming care to transgender youth.

• LGBTQ Nation: Trans author Jesse James Rose wrote on social media that the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) regularly paid her “a fat stack of cash” when she was a “twinky pre-transition college student” to do “unspeakable things to him in a hotel room while he wore red lingerie.” She is the second self-identified sex worker to say that they slept with Graham during his time as a U.S. senator.
• WYFF4: Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darline Graham Nordone, was sworn in Tuesday to fill her late brother’s U.S. Senate seat for the rest of his term which expires on Jan. 3, 2027. As far as I can tell, she has no experience in governance or politics.

• LGBTQ Nation:Two men were turned in by their younger brother decades after they ambushed a man that they thought was gay and bragged about “queer bashing” him. The victim died alone late at night on May 1, 1984, in a deserted London alley after being struck twice in the head with a heavy object.
• Newsweek: What appear to be tire tracks have become visible on the floor of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool after the landmark was drained for a second round of repairs to the Trump administration’s troubled renovation project. Trump’s motorcade was driven across the drained Reflecting Pool during a highly publicized inspection of the project on May 7.
