Trump On Iran Ceasefire: “I Think It’s Over”

So here we go… Yesterday, Iran reportedly attacked ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The U.S. responded by carrying out airstrikes against several targets in Iran and reimposed sanctions on Iranian oil sales.

And then, Iran’s armed forces said that they had attacked 85 U.S. military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait and shot down an American MQ-9 drone in retaliation.

And now, Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is “over.”

More from the New York Times:

The renewed hostilities and pessimistic rhetoric followed weeks of occasional exchanges of strikes and brewing tension over shipping access through the Strait of Hormuz.

In response to a question at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, about the state of the cease-fire, Mr. Trump responded: “To me, I think it’s over.”

Mr. Trump also disparaged Iran’s leadership as “cuckoo,” even as he added that he was open to further talks.

His comments caused the already high price of oil to jump further.

In his remarks, Trump also called Iranian leaders “scum.”

He went on to attack Spain for not jumping in to support his war on Iran, and resumed his desire to take Greenland from Denmark.
