Some news items for you as we hip-hop over this Hump Day:
• OUT: Adult entertainment personality Drake Von (above) is facing felony charges after allegedly trying to strangle his partner in his Las Vegas home. I only learned who Drake is trying to watch the OUTtv series “Ultimate Boys Trip.” The show isn’t worth your time and Von comes off extremely loathsome.
• The Advocate: An appeals court has clarified that people living with HIV can join the military again.
The decision marks the latest setback for a Pentagon policy that advocates say is rooted in outdated assumptions about HIV and service readiness. https://t.co/Md3fMSyu0i

• LGBTQ Nation: Shia LaBeouf pleaded guilty to three counts of battery related a homophobic assault of a queer man in New Orleans in February.
The queer man called the assault “a hate crime,” though LaBeouf wasn’t faced with hate crime charges.https://t.co/Q07MtnsM2x

• NPR: By a vote of 215-208, the Republican-led House voted to block Donald Trump from ordering more Iran strikes. Four Republicans joined Democrats in support.
• The Daily Beast: Donald Trump compared his tacky UFC Arena to the Eiffel Tower in a delusional video, teasing that it might become a permanent fixture at the White House.
• X: Addressing reporters in the Oval Office today, Donald Trump swerved into the underbrush during a wild rant where he attacked CNN reporter Caitlin Carter for never smiling at him.
Sexism and misogyny all in 30 seconds, along with the usual bloviating, self-aggrandizement.
Here’s what I don’t understand: Why isn’t the next thing we hear from a WH reporter: “Mr. President, with all due respect, you owe Kaitlan an apology for your uncalled-for attacks.” https://t.co/3cNAU6wxj5
