P!NK To Host 79th Tony Awards + New Music From Kiesza + More

Happy Friday! Some news items I thought worth your time:

Broadway News: International pop star P!NK (above) will host the 79th annual Tony Awards on June 7, airing on CBS. While she has not performed in a Broadway production, her music is featured in the jukebox musicals “& Juliet” and “Moulin Rouge!”

Broadway World: Speaking of the Great White Way, the reviews are in for the new revival of Death of a Salesman starring Tony Award winners Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf, and it’s pretty much 10s across the board. Hit the link for a round-up of reviews.

ACLU: As federal policies target LGBTQ communities, this “Know Your Rights” guide breaks down the protections that still stand — and how to assert them.

New Music: Electro-pop superstar Kiesza drops her latest single, “When I’m Dancing.” The song takes inspiration from the artist’s time living in New York City, when she would go dancing by herself to unwind. Fun video and the track is a total dance-floor filler.

NPR: The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this morning year over year inflation was 3.3% in March. That’s the highest inflation rate since May, 2024.

USA Today: Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden has challenged Donald Trump’s eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, to a cage fight. It’s come to this… smh.

JoeMyGod: A new report claims Bryon Noem, husband to former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, told an online fetish performer in audio recordings that he fantasized about undergoing hormone therapy and feminizing surgery.

I don’t care what people do in their private lives, but this does seem to  highlight a stark contradiction between Ms. Noem’s political record and her family’s private life.
