• LGBTQ Nation: Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) made good on his pledge to protect queer rights in the state, vetoing five anti-LGBTQ+ bills this week passed by the state’s Republican-led legislature. He told a crowd at a private ceremony later that day he would have liked to have written “Hell No!” on the bills.
• Broadway Bop: The oh-so-talented Nicholas Christopher (“Anatoly”) throws down the vocal showstopper “Anthem” from the Broadway revival of CHESS.
The new cast album is now available for streaming on all major music platforms. p.s. I am not mad at that shirtless /bicep shot at the :43 mark.
• GoFundMe: This crowd-funding campaign has raised over $100,000 for Luanne James, a Tennessee library director who was fired for refusing to hide over 100 books – many with LGBTQ+ content – from young readers.
• Las Vegas Sun: Nevada (my state!) is leading a coalition of 24 states in a lawsuit over Trump’s unconstitutional executive order that seeks to change states’ voting processes, including mail voting.
