Out gay singer-songwriter Connor Wren drops his debut self-produced album Second Adolescence. Written and produced entirely by Wren, the collection explores queer evolution, freedom, and self-reclamation.
The 13-track project marks a defining arrival for Wren, stepping into the spotlight after years working behind the scenes as a vocalist, arranger, and producer across film, television, and pop music.
A coming-of-age story told on one’s own terms, the project captures the tension and liberation that come with shedding expectation and stepping fully into identity.
Check out the lyric video for the funky pop title track.
“This album is me choosing myself, fully and without apology, after years of shrinking to fit spaces that were never built for me,” Wren says in a press statement.
“Second Adolescence is about reclaiming my voice, my story, and the freedom to evolve in real time,” he added. “It’s not just a debut, it’s a declaration of who I am now and who I’m still becoming.”
In early March, I covered Wren’s guitar-driven ballad, “Your Sunrise Is Coming,” here. Second Adolescence is available now on all major music platforms.
