• CBS News: An ice cream shop in northeast Minneapolis, founded as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, was targeted with a Molotov cocktail twice within 24 hours, according to police.
• Gayety: 21-year-old wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin, currently competing on Dancing With the Stars, was surprised during rehearsal with a huge bouquet of flowers from Jonathan Bailey who stars in the WICKED films as “Fiyero.” The thoughtful delivery came after Irwin’s standout jazz routine inspired by the hit musical.
• Outsports: The LGBTQ-centered sports website won Outstanding Short Form Program at the Daytime Emmy Awards for its series Ballin’ Out, about the LGBTQ players & coaches of USA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team. Congrats to Outsports!
• New Music: Brandi Carlile knows it’s hard enough just being “Human” with her new album Returning To Myself.
• The Advocate: An executive from CVS says Gilead will need to lower the cost of its twice-yearly PrEP injection Yeztugo, also known as lenacapavir, in order for the pharmacy to cover the highly effective shot. While Gilead has priced Yeztugo at $28,000 within the U.S., generic versions of lenacapavir will be sold in other countries for $40.
• Kelly Clarkson Show: Out recording artist (and “American Idol” alum) David Archuleta and Kelly reflect on meeting each other for the first time the night Kelly won “American Idol,” and Kelly can’t believe the man that 11-year-old boy has become! The duo also reacts to a throwback photo of David’s audition for his “American Idol” season. Fun chat.
