With less than two months from the release of WICKED: For Good, today the powers that be drop this brand-new “final” trailer for the thrilling conclusion of the magical, musical tale of “Elphaba” (Cynthia Erivo), “Glinda” (Ariana Grande) & the fate of Oz.
Based on Act Two of the mega-hit Broadway musical, this second installment will follow “Elphaba” and “Glinda” along their respective paths after they parted ways at the end of the first movie.
We also have “Fiyero” (played by out actor Jonathan Bailey), now captain of the Wizard of Oz’s guard, coming to grips with his feelings for both Elphaba and Glinda
The producers have already announced there will be two new, original songs written by Stephen Schwartz for the new film. Both leading ladies, Erivo and Grande, will have new solo numbers. The soundtrack will be available the same day the movie hits theaters – November 21.
I loved the first installment, and can’t wait to see this! Squeeee!
