Trump: I Was ‘Asked For My License Plate’ At Voting Booth

Amid his remarks at the White House on Monday, Donald Trump railed against mail-in ballots yet again. This time, he insisted that he was once asked to present his “license plate” at a voting booth.

Transcript of his remarks:

“We’re gonna stop mail-in ballots, because it’s corrupt. You know, when you go to a voting booth, and you do it the right way, and you go to a state that runs it properly, you go in — they even asked me, they asked me for my license plate. I said, ‘I don’t know if I have it.’ They said, ‘Sir, you have to have it.’ I was very impressed, actually.”

Trump also declared he will issue an executive order banning mail-in ballots, but presidents don’t have that power.
