A deep fake video of Donald Trump saying “Pride Month is cancelled” making the rounds on social media pretends to show Trump declaring the US would “no longer participate in deliberate moral inversions” by observing Pride Month in June. In the clip, “Trump” goes on to say that June will be known as “confidence month…or maybe just June,” before adding crass comments about gay sex. From Agence France-Press:
Trump’s speech in the video has been manipulated using AI, there are no official reports or announcements about the US government “cancelling” Pride Month celebrations in June.
A separate reverse image search on Google found the deepfake clip matched a YouTube video posted by the Trump White House on April 13, 2025, wishing Jewish people a happy Passover holiday.
At no point in the video does Trump mention Pride month or LGBTQ people.
The fake video has racked up millions of views at this point. Of course, his cultists are thrilled.
