Ukraine Open To 30-Day Cease-Fire With Russia

Ukrainian officials have announced they would support a 30-day cease-fire with Russia following more than 8 hours of meetings in Saudi Arabia with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Michael Waltz, U.S. national security adviser. The United States also agreed to immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume military assistance to Ukraine. According to the New York Times, the United States and Ukraine also talked about humanitarian assistance initiatives that would occur during the cease-fire, as well as swapping of prisoners of war. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. would present the ceasefire offer to Russia. The cease-fire news comes just hours after Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow in the largest bombardment of the war. Read more at the New York Times (gift link).
