Some news items I thought worth your time: • The Advocate: A new survey from the Pew Research Center shows the majority of Americans support transgender sports and health care restrictions — yet they also support anti-discrimination laws protecting trans people. • Boy Culture: The folks at Mr. Man have revealed the winners of the 11th Annual Manatomy Awards, which celebrate the best nude scenes of the year. • Queerty: Excellent recap of this year’s Independent Spirit Awards where tons of LGBTQ+ titles & talent were among the nominees, including I Saw The TV Glow, Baby Reindeer, Colman Domingo, Hunter Schafer, and many more. • Gay Times: Drag Race star Shangela has responded to recent sexual assault allegations made by adult film star Eric Poff. This comes after Rolling Stone published an article in March 2024 revealing five additional allegations of sexual assault, occurring between 2012 and 2018. 
• The Hill: An “unknown donor” has gifted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with 10 Tesla Cybertrucks to use for patrol and SWAT teams. Hmm… • NBC News: A child has died due to the measles outbreak in West Texas, which has so far infected at least 124 people (mostly children). Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appeared to downplay the seriousness of the outbreak saying “we have measles outbreaks every year.” The last time a child died of measles in the U.S. was in 2003. • GQ Magazine: Daniel Lefferts spent an afternoon with the “normal gay guys” who voted for Trump. Interesting dive into the mindset of right-wing gays.
