I’ve been a fan of NBC The Voice runner-up (Season 21) Wendy Moten going back to her spectacular 1992 hit “Come On In Out Of the Rain.” Now, Moten has teamed up with international recording artist Cosimo Lizzi to record a new single to make a difference in the lives affected by ALS including Grammy winner Roberta Flack. The digital single in honor of Miss Flack is a cover of her million selling 1978 hit “The Closer I Get to You” with Moten & Lizzi bringing their own vocal magic to the classic track.
Today’s release was timed specifically to celebrate Flack’s 88th birthday with 100% of all proceeds going directly to the ALS Association; whose mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. “The Closer I Get To You” is available now on all major music platform’s including Apple Music.
