After more than a decade away from music (and two runs for Congress), Aiken recently released a new holiday album, Christmas Bells Are Ringing. • them: After Zambian soccer star Barbra Banda, hot off a championship-winning season for the Orlando Pride, was named the BBC’s Women’s Footballer of the Year, she immediately became a target for anti-transgender and anti-intersex bullying online. Note – Banda isn’t trans. She’s just good at what she does. • The Advocate: A police sergeant in Oceanside, CA, has filed a lawsuit alleging discrimination and harassment by his colleagues after they found out he is gay. He also says the city and his superiors did nothing after he reported the mistreatment.

• New York Times: Judge Juan Merchan rejected Donald Trump’s argument that a recent Supreme Court ruling had nullified his criminal case in New York, upholding the Donald’s felony conviction for falsifying records to cover up a sex scandal. The judge’s ruling preserves, at least for now, the stain of Mr. Trump’s criminal conviction.
