During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance was asked if he regretted his now-infamous “childless cat ladies” remark. But Vance couldn’t find it in him to express any “regret.” Instead, he could only muster a very weak walk-around: “I have a lot of regrets but making a joke three years ago is not on the top ten list.” I know the Trump playbook is to never apologize, but what would it cost Vance to say he regrets the comment…?
Welker: You’re calling it a sarcastic comment, women felt like it was a gut punch to them. Do you regret making that comment? Vance: I have a lot of regrets but making a joke is not on the top ten list pic.twitter.com/hfMKG9lyGd

So he made a joke about childless cat ladies and has no regrets. When you’re deep in a hole, it’s wise to stop digging @JDVance
