New Music: Lauv Embraces His ‘Potential’

Multi-platinum singer/songwriter/producer Lauv, who’s shared his coming out evolution over the past year, dropped his new music video, “Potential,” where he appears to take a firm step forward. Ahead of its release, Lauv shared on social media that “Potential” is the first song he’s putting out “about a boy.” Simple guitar strumming is complimented with a laid-back drum beat, allowing Lauv’s vocals to be front and center. Heartfelt lyrics capture the start-stop uncertainty of a budding romance. The accompanying music video, directed by Luke Orlando, is a gorgeous visual featuring Lauv in his first-ever fully choreographed video.
