The social media kerfuffle began on Tuesday, December 27, when Tate (who openly admits to being a misogynist and anti-LGBTQ) trolled Thunberg bragging about the horsepower of his many, many cars. The brothers allegedly detained two young women inside the villa against their will in April, where they were subjected to “physical violence and mental coercion,” according to the Daily Mail. With all the attention the Tate/Thunberg tweets were getting, the authorities were able to confirm his location thanks to the boxes from pizza chain Jerry’s Pizza. And so it was today, that Tate found his home raided by the police, and he and his brother were taken into custody. All because he had to troll a teenage girl on social media.
