The National Park Service (NPS) today removed references to transgender and queer people on the webpage for the Stonewall National Monument, shortening the LGBTQ+ acronym to LGB, standing for lesbian, gay and bisexual. Over 150 Pride flags near the Stonewall National Monument, located in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village neighborhood, were vandalized this week in New York City, according to the city’s police department.
