SNL: How Much Would It Take For a Straight Guy To Go Down On Another Guy?

So, while working on other posts the past couple of days, I’ve seen this circling the internet.

It’s actually funnier than I imagined and I like how SNL’s “resident young guy Pete Davidson” handles his “report” on the purported question: “How much money would you go down on a guy for?”

He’s very straight-forward on the reality of the proposition – “I’m not gay. I’m a businessman.”

Davidson says even if he was on a boat, and the boat was his – he’d still do the deed for a few thousand.  Why?  “A boat needs fuel.”

Plus, such funds could pay for Thanksgiving dinner.  OR – cover taking the family to Six Flags and spring for the “Flash pass.”

Logic.  There you go.

Chris Pratt Hosts 40th Season Premiere of SNL

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is set to host the 40th Season premiere of Saturday Night Live this week with musical guest Ariana Grande.

Check out this series of promos with Kate McKinnon as she tries to terrify Pratt, get him to show his famous abs, and then asks his to open 6 pickle jars (for an unknown reason).

Don Pardo, the voice of SNL, passes away at 96

Don Pardo, the unmistakable voice of Saturday Night Live, has passed away at 96

Pardo’s voiceover work with Saturday Night Live made him one of the most recognizable voices in broadcasting. He notched the longest tenure of anyone associated with SNL (missing only one season), including creator Lorne Michaels.

A Television Hall of Fame inductee, Pardo voiced several long running game shows including “The Price Is Right” and the original “Jeopardy.”

A longtime newsman, according to Variety Pardo was a war reporter for NBC News during World War II, and the first to tell NBC viewers of the shooting of President Kennedy.

SNL skit: When Will The Bass Drop?

For those who aren’t huge fans of dance music, this skit from Saturday Night Live lampoons the EDM culture with a character that’s a parody of what looks to be DJs David Guetta and Aviici.

These DJs make millions each year, and have fanbases that rival singing recording artists.

I appreciate a good remix of a pop song, but I don’t get this riled up at a club.  I think I’m not  quite sophisticated to get it.

The screams of “this is the best night of my life” make me giggle…

Anna Kendrick on SNL: “Dongs All Over The World”

Anna Kendrick hosted SNL last night and although she recently talked about giving musical performances a break, that was not the case last night.

One musical sketch, “Dongs All Over the World,” featured some of SNL’s sassiest — Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, and Sasheer Zamata — joining Kenrick in a tune about traveling the globe in search of international “dongs.”

Think Justin Timberlake humor, but from a wacked out “Nasty Girls” angle.

If Broadway did the Super Bowl half-time show

From last night’s Saturday Night Live cold open.

Not all THAT funny, but the entrance of CATS’ “Mr. Mistoffelees” at the end got a chuckle out of me.

Don’t forget, however, that Broadway’s real live Tony Award-winning KINKY BOOTS is performing in the pre-game show. You won’t want to miss that.

Commercials, pre-game show, half-time show, the game itself… And don’t forget the costumes!

Lots to watch at the Super Bowl today!

“Scandal” star Kerry Washington and Eminem in awkward SNL promos

Kerry Washington hosting SNL this Saturday, Nov. 2, and Eminem is performing as musical act. SNL released two promos featuring the two unlikely co-stars.

In the first, SNL regular Nasim Pedrad cheerfully asks the rapper, “Eminem, are you having fun?,” he refuses to acknowledge her perkiness and continues to stare straight ahead. Kerry, however, keeps up the positivity, doing a little dance of sorts while Eminem stays in his own zone.

In clip number 2, Kerry says after Saturday’s “great show,” the gang is “going out for cupcakes”— noting this was Eminem’s idea. In response, the rapper turns to face the pregnant star and deadpans, “I love cupcakes.”

Sounds like good times, right?

Looking forward to the Sunday morning recaps already.
