Olivia sings her classic hit “I Honestly Love You” – live in Cardiff, Wales, March 10, 2013
This tour is her first in the UK in 35 years.
Spent the morning tagging along with Michael and Olivia Newton-John doing radio interviews for her UK concert tour starting this Sunday in Cardiff.
First up was at LBC Radio where Olivia chatted with Steve Allen. Olivia’s visit with Steve will air this Sunday, March 10. You can listen then, or download the podcast once it airs by going to this link.

Next up was a visit to BBC2 Radio where Olivia sat down with The Steve Wright Show. You can hear Olivia’s chat with Steve and Tim Smith on Friday, March 8, live online by clicking here. The afternoon show begins at 2pm London time.

Took a few pics backstage while Olivia Newton-John was doing BBC’s The One Show last night. It’s always fascinating to me how the “magic” happens behind the cameras. You can watch the episode online by clicking here. I think the link is good for about a week.
Very nice folks there. Olivia really enjoyed it and even sang with Billy Bragg a bit on “If Not For You.”
The show did a segment on dogs who help firemen sniff out the causes of fires. The dogs were adorable and of course, Olivia had to say “hello” to them.
Did I mention they had wine in the green room?
Sweet!
Taking a break from shopping with Olivia Newton-John, Steve & Martha Real and Michael at Harrods in London for hot chocolate and cake.

| The cake – before… |
The conversation turned to our favorite chocolates. This is how the leanings broke down:
Steve Real: “Sees Candy. And my favorite Sees Candy is a Scotch Melon (Scotch Kiss?) It’s caramel, layer of marshmallow, a bit of honey and wrapped in dark chocolate.”
Olivia: “I like dark chocolate with nuts, caramel… Dark turtles they’re called? I like dark chocolate. I like hard caramels; chili dark chocolate; and real orange slices dipped in dark chocolate.”
Martha Real: “Milk chocolate. I like caramels, and the salted caramels.”
Michael: “Milk chocolate and caramel. I’m easy, breezy. I could eat Rollos like they are going out of style.”
Me: I’m a simple dark chocolate guy. No fillings. Although, I do like the chili dark chocolates too. No nuts in my chocolate. Period.

p.s. Next time I’m at Harrods, THIS is where I’m stopping…

The adventure begins!
Michael and I are heading to London for some business on his part, and pleasure on mine 🙂
Olivia Newton-John will be performing her first UK concerts in 30 years and Michael will be there to handle her press appearances. The reaction has been amazing from the European fans and can’t wait to see the TV and radio appearances. The UK rocks!
I’m tagging along, AND we have plans to see the brilliant Tony Award winner Betty Buckley in the UK premiere production of Jerry Herman’s DEAR WORLD at Charing Cross Theatre directed by Gillian Lynne. The production and Betty have received terrific reviews. I can’t wait to hear Jerry’s gorgeous score live!
I’ll be blogging along the way and will share anything interesting or funny (at least to me). So thanks for staying tuned in everyone.
As Cornelius says to his sidekick in another Jerry Herman show, “It’s an adventure, Barnaby!”
Earlier I posted a short “behind the scenes” video of Tim McGraw’s shirtless People Magazine photo shoot.
Well, here’s one of the shots, and let’s hear it for Tim!
Tim McGraw shares with People Magazine that he has a new tour coming up, he quit drinking, and he can walk around without his shirt and feel good.
Asked about his workout routine, he teases his famous wife Faith Hill:
“I have tried working out a couple of times with her and afterward, I can’t move,” says McGraw, who sometimes joins Hill at their home gym to burn calories.
When asked about her routine, McGraw jokes, “It’s like, leg warmers and Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Physical.'”
A high-pitched giggle from Hill interrupts McGraw, forcing him to set the record straight: “Faith says it is nothing like that.” McGraw then pauses before going on, “But yeah, it’s me with my headband on and leg warmers…”
Fun Q&A with Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta in December 2012 while promoting their holiday CD “This Christmas.” I was at the studio during the event, and afterwards both Olivia and John remarked that it had been one of their favorite promotional appearances. Said Travolta, “We actually got to take all the time we wanted to answer questions fully, and laugh and enjoy it.” I’d never heard of LiveStream before, but I think it’s a great way for people to interact with fans. The “live” aspect made being there exciting, and the fact that it’s available to be watched again later is a big improvement over Google Hangouts. (For the life of me I can’t figure out how to watch a Hangout once it’s over…) You can order their holiday CD “This Christmas” on Amazon by clicking here. p.s. and, of course, you know this isn’t Olivia’s first trip to the Christmas music rodeo…
