Tweet Of The Day: Mars Is NOT Part Of The Moon

The Twitterverse is scratching its head over a tweet from Donald Trump (I know, not really a rare occasion) in which he says the Moon is part of Mars.
Using this photo because it makes as much sense as Trump saying the Moon is part of Mars

The Twitterverse is scratching its head over a tweet from “Extremely Stable Genius” Donald Trump (I know, not really a rare occasion) in which he says the Moon is part of Mars.

Note: the Moon is definitely NOT a part of Mars.

“For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon – We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!”

The First-Ever Selfie From Mars

NASA shares the first images of the InSight spacecraft after the probe successfully landed on the surface of Mars.

The robot spacecraft snapped the image of itself making this the first-ever selfie from Mars.

The exploration of Mars continues with this 8th successful landing on the red planet since the Viking probes in 1976.

InSight has company, by the way, NASA’s Curiosity rover is still running around Mars gathering information as it has since landing in 2012.

According to CBS News, InSight will operate from its stationary site for the next two years, which is the length of a Martian year. The InSight mission will study the early evolution of terrestrial planets.
