There was quite the drama today in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial as the jury ended its 6th day of deliberations without a verdict. But not before courtroom tensions flared over what appears to be a deadlocked jury.
Clancy is accused of strangling her 3 children in 2023. Prosecutors have argued Clancy acted “intentionally, rationally, and swiftly” to kill her children. The defense says she should not be held criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
CBS News reports the foreperson in the murder trial sent a note asking for one juror to be removed for not following the rules regarding the law’s definition of “reasonable doubt.” Defense attorney Kevin Reddington then asked for that juror to be removed.
