Katy Perry releases official video for “Roar” as song hits number 1
“It’s HERE! Filmed in Junglescope – my brand new music video,” Katy Perry tweeted to announce the video to her fans.
This week, Katy bumped Robin Thicke‘s song of the summer “Blurred Lines” off the Billboard Hot 100 chart and brought her song to number one for the first time.
I love how Miss Perry goes for the humor in her music videos. AND love the song!

Katy Perry accepts Trevor Hero Award at Trevor Live 2012
Katy Perry was presented with the Trevor Hero Award at Trevor Live on December 2, 2012 at the Hollywood Palladium.
In the video, she describes how her own thoughts about the LGBT community have evolved, and she explains how meaningful her time spent at The Trevor Project has been.
Katy Perry and Russell Brand to divorce
Russell Brand has filed for divorce from Katy Perry.
In the docs, filed in L.A., Brand cites “irreconcilable differences.” The two were married Oct. 23, 2010 in India. They have no kids.
Russell has released a statement, claiming, “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”
Sources had told TMZ the couple was having problems, evidenced by the fact that they spent Christmas apart and neither was wearing a wedding ring.
Although it’s not 100%, based on what we now know it appears Brand may have blindsided Perry by filing the divorce petition.
Russell appeared on “Ellen” just this month, slamming divorce rumors — claiming, “I’m really happily married … I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge. I’m still alive.”
