FBI Director Fact-Checks President Trump In Real Time During House Intel Committee Testimony

During today’s testimony by FBI Director James Comey and National Security Director Mike Rogers in front of the House Intelligence Committee, President Trump tweeted that the two directors had told Congress “Russia did not influence (the) electoral process” in the 2016 presidential campaign.

While the FBI Director had testified that he had no evidence that voting machines had been tampered with, he did not say the same regarding Russia having an “influence” on the election.

Watch below as Congressman Jim Himes asks them if that was the intent of their testimony.

Director Comey’s response: “It certainly wasn’t our intention to say that today, because we don’t have any information on that subject.”

House Intel Chairman: I’ve Never Heard Of Trump Associates Roger Stone Or Carter Page

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes told reporters today he had never heard of Trump associates Roger Stone or Carter Page.

Rather stunning that the man looking into the allegations of Trump collusion with Russian interference could state with a straight face he had never heard of these characters who have been in the news so much in the past months.

Donald Trump Falls 220 Spots On Forbes’ “World Richest People” List

President Trump falls 220 spots on Forbes Magazine‘s list of the world’s richest people.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates again tops Forbes’ list of the world’s richest people, in a year when the number of billionaires rose 13% to 2,043.

According to the magazine’s annual rich list, Mr Gates’ fortune rose to $86bn, from $75bn, followed by investor Warren Buffett, up $14.8bn to $75.6bn.

It was bad news for US President Donald Trump, who slipped 220 spots to 544 and must now rub along on just $3.5bn. Forbes said the $1bn fall in his wealth was due to the slow US property market.

FBI: Team Trump Under Investigation Since July 2016

Today we learned three things during FBI Director James Comey’s testimony at the House Intelligence Committee hearing:

1. There is NO evidence to support President Trump’s unfounded allegation that President Obama ordered a wiretap on Trump Tower.

2. The Trump campaign team has been under investigation for ties to Russian officials who may have have attempted to disrupt the U.S. election. The investigation concerning President Trump and those associated with his campaign has been ongoing since July 2016.

3. With both Clinton and Trump teams being investigated during the campaign, it’s worth noting that Comey announced to the nation 12 days before Election Day that Clinton was still under investigation but did not mention Trump. Think on that for a while…

Comey also shared that the FBI has found no evidence that Russian agents had changed actual votes in U.S. voting machines in swing states.

However, President Trump took to Twitter to spin that his own way, saying, “The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process.”

That not what the two intelligence directors said.

While they addressed the idea of “changed votes,” that doesn’t mean that Russia’s leaking stolen emails from the Democratic National Committee didn’t influence the election. As a matter of fact we know that the constant drip, drip, drip of emails had an effect on the election.

FBI Director Comey: We Have No Information That Supports Trump’s Wiretapping Tweets

FBI Director James Comey testified this morning that neither the FBI nor the Department of Justice has any evidence to support President Trump’s allegations that President Obama ordered Trump Tower’s phones to be wiretapped during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Comey also acknowledged that the FBI is, indeed, investigating Russia’s actions during the 2016 election and the Russian government’s ties to the Trump campaign:

I have been authorized by the Department of Justice to confirm that the FBI, as part of our counterintelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. That includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia’s efforts.

Trump Twitter Meltdown Hours Before FBI Director Testifies At Intelligence Committee Hearing

Just hours before FBI Director James Comey is to testify at a Congressional hearing about Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential campaign and Donald Trump’s unproven allegations that President Obama wiretapped Trump’s phones at Trump Tower, Trump primed the pump with some rehashed tweets.

During the campaign last year, Trump had no problem with leaked information about Hillary Clinton. When asked about worries of leaked info, he said “But look at the info we now have.”

Shoe on the other foot now, Trump denies any of the information leaked about him, and only wants to know who leaked it.

Arizona: Trump/Nazi Billboard Draws Death Threats For Artist

From The Arizona Republic:

Artist Karen Fiorito knew backlash was bound to come. And it has.

Commissioned by a downtown Phoenix art gallery in January to create a billboard art piece that would comment on President Donald Trump’s administration, Fiorito said what she had in mind was going to stir up a controversy.

“Billboards are perfect because you don’t have to go to a gallery to see it,” she said. “You’re creating a dialogue with the public. You’re reaching people you’d never reach with your artwork.”

The completed billboard, now looming over Grand Avenue and Taylor Street, went up in downtown Phoenix on Friday afternoon amid the Art Detour event. Plastered on one side is a depiction of Trump’s face staring down. The red background is mingled with mushroom-cloud explosions and dollar signs in typography imitating Nazi swastikas.

Stories on the billboard went viral Friday night. The Arizona State University alumnus said she and her husband, who don’t currently live in Arizona, began receiving threats Saturday morning.

“I’ve been called a communist, a Satan worshiper,” she said. “I’ve been told I’m a ‘very, very sick person.’ I’m not sure what that means. I haven’t been answering the phone. My husband has because he’s not afraid to talk to anyone, but he told me he received a couple death threats this morning. … He said, ‘They were coming to get us with their boys.’ “
