Awkward Tweet Of The Day

Ok, so the award for “Most Awkward Tweet of the Day” goes to Justin Bieber’s father, Jeremy, who sent out the above tweet upon seeing the recent naked pics of the Bieb, which apparently shows he’s packing some serious junk.

I haven’t seen the pics – I can’t stomach Justin Bieber. But, now we know where Justin gets his “charming” ways.

The twitterverse was appropriately horrified.

When Your Son Wants That Little Mermaid Doll

Going viral all over the inter-webs is this clip posted on Facebook by “Dad of the Year” contender, Mikki Willis.

It would seem that Willis’ son Azi recently received duplicate presents for his birthday. So, Willis took the tyke to exchange one of the duplicate gifts for something else.

And what was it that Azi chose? A Little Mermaid Princess doll.

Willis described the episode like this:

“I let my boys choose their life. That’s how mama and I, that’s how we are, right? We just say, ‘Whatever.’ We say, ‘Yea, choose it. Choose your expression. Choose what you’re into. Choose your sexuality. Choose whatever.’ You have my promise right now, both of you, as we sit in this car, this hot car in this parking lot. You have my promise forever to love you and accept you no matter what life you choose.”

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

How would you feel if your son chose this??

Taye Diggs Gets Down With His “Dad Self” For Dockers

Cute commercial rap for Dockers by Taye Diggs in advance of his upcoming return to musical theater on Broadway as the next star of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”

Rapping the #DadJam, Taye explains that Dockers suit him because as a dad himself of five year old Walker (with ex Idina Menzel), he needs clothes that make getting dressed on the fly fast.

“Khakis are a good go-to,”, he says. “Or cargo pants, because they have a lot of pockets. Pacifiers and bottles, and diapers, and wet wipes, and crackers, and little toy dinosaurs, and candy for treats for any child that has behaved or when you’re trying to bribe them.”

Hunky dad cheers his little girl on singing “Let It Go”

I can’t not post this.

I think the “Let It Go” lip-dubs videos are done, but this dad is so “in it” with his little girl – I couldn’t stop watching.

“Let it rage on, girl!”

Uber-cute: “Day at home with Daddy”

How cute is this dad and son?  Over 613,000 views on YouTube in 2 weeks since upload December 23, 2012.

Emio Tomeoni, a 30-year-old video producer, created a time-lapse video which captures an afternoon with his son, Xavier.

The clip, according to the video’s description, is the “comprehensive report on the happenings of father and son while mama is away for the afternoon.”

Tomeoni, who lives in Kansas City, Mo., told the New York Daily News that he made the video as an attempt to show his wife what a day at home with Xavier looks like.

Maybe TV can inspire…

There are fathers who deal with their straight sons exactly how they always thought they would.

There are fathers who don’t know what to do when they “discover” their sons are gay.

Then, there’s this guy.

It may sound trite, but this TV “dad” is saving some kids lives. This character gives hope that some young gay and lesbian kids can be who they are without fear.

If you’re a parent, how do you think you would handle your child coming out?

How would you hope to handle your child coming out?

How do you think your gay child hopes you may handle it?

And last question, what difference does it make to you if your child is gay?
