Angela Lansbury Sings “Beauty And The Beast” At 25th Anniversary Screening
A 90 year old Angela Lansbury once again proved she retains her magic as she surprised the audience last night at a 25th anniversary screening of the hit Disney film, Beauty and the Beast.
A charming, world-wide sensation, the film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and became the first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
It won the Academy Award for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for its title song.
In 1994, it became the first fully animated Disney film to be adapted into a Broadway musical.
The film has grossed a world-wide total of over $425,000,000.
Angela Lansbury Wins First Olivier Award At Age 89
Dame Angela Lansbury’s work in the revival of Blithe Spirit, marking her return to the London stage for the first time in 40 years – has earned her the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her performance in the same role on Broadway won her a Tony Award in the same category.
