New Poll Shows Hillary Clinton With 33 Point Lead For Democratic Nomination

A new poll of registered Democrats released today shows former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with a commanding 33 point lead over rival Sen. Bernie Sanders.

A Monmouth University survey released Wednesday found Clinton with a 33-point lead, taking 59 percent support nationally over Sanders at 26 percent. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley takes 4 percent support in the poll.

Those results are essentially unchanged from the same poll in October, which found Clinton leading 57–24 in the race for the Democratic nomination.

“Clinton successfully ran the gauntlet this fall, appearing before the Benghazi Committee and outlasting the specter of a Biden candidacy,” said Monmouth pollster Patrick Murray. “She really hasn’t lost ground since then.”

On a state by state basis, Clinton leads Sanders by double digits in Iowa, the first in the nation contest to be held February 1st.

Sanders, however, looks to have a 5 point lead in New Hampshire.

Clinton has maintained a steady double-digit lead in Iowa, raising the stakes for Sanders in New Hampshire. The Vermont senator holds a 5-point lead in the Granite State, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.

Funny: Josh Groban & James Corden Sing Public Domain Songs

James Corden and Josh Groban perform Public Domain songs

Josh Groban joins James Corden of The Late Late Show for a mini-concert of Public Domain songs since more current songs are so expensive.

Now you might think this would be a tad boring, but Groban finally finds his PD voice and “raises” everyone’s excitement about the endeavor by “Grobanizing” the final ditty.

Groban surprises a bit here by singing with his eyes open (for the most part), which has been a pet peeve of mine regarding his performances for some time.

Cute segment.

Chris Matthews Asks Donald Trump If He’s Still A “Birther”

In a post-debate interview last night in Las Vegas, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews asked GOP front-runner Donald Trump is he still believes President Obama wasn’t born in the USA.

Trump refused to answer the question:

“I should not tell you this, but I do watch you a lot. So I knew you were going to ask that question. And you know what I’ll say: I don’t talk about that anymore. You know the problem talking about that question? Here’s the story. I don’t answer because you know what? If I do answer, that’s all people want to talk about I don’t answer that question because once I answer the question, they don’t want to talk about the economy, they don’t want to talk about all the other… I don’t want to answer the question. I don’t want to answer the question.”

Before ending the segment, Matthews did come back to the issue to say:

“I do think that’s a blemish. I think it’s your original sin. I’m an American. I think our president should be respected. And I think there’s a little ethnic aspect to it. I don’t like it…It’s not a good thing about you.”

Gus Kenworthy Wins The Gold And Goes Silver Sexy For The Holidays

Out Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy goes silver sexy for the holidays.

Kenworthy says his new color was inspired by CNN silver fox Anderson Cooper.

Gay, gray and here to sleigh! Lol. Big thank you to @rauiwowi for the frosty locks and @swebbster for the haircut! 💇🏼🎅🏼❄️🎄 Also shouts to @andersoncooper for the hairspiration. #jackfrost #selfie #silvermedalsilverhair #daddy #50shadesofgay

I imagine it was also to celebrate his recent slopestyle win at the DewTour.

Congrats to a champion who’s keeping on doing what he does.

Couldn’t be more stoked to take the win in slopestyle at the @dewtour today for the second year in a row! Last year’s win felt great but the conditions were less than ideal and a lot of guys struggled to carry speed down the course. This year, the conditions were amazing and almost every guy in the field landed a heavy run so the win feels much more legitimate! Was also really touched to see people holding rainbow flags at the bottom of the course – thank you!!! Big ups to all the boys for killing it today! @Oysteinbraten was the first dude out of the gate and laid down two flawless runs. @Bobby_brown1 and @joss slayed it on their second runs and @jameswoodsy made both of his runs look effortless. Of course major props to @jossiwells for taking home 2nd and @buhsch for snagging 3rd and getting his first Dew podium – congrats boys!!! ❄️⛷🏆💸😁 #dewtour #longestpostever #sorrynotsorry 📷: @s4ni

Rajon Rondo: ‘From The Bottom Of My Heart I Am Truly Sorry For What I Said’

Twelve days after calling NBA referee a “mother-f**king-faggot” on court during a game, Sacramento Kings Rajon Rondo has issued a formal apology to referee Bill Kennedy.

“You’re a mother———- faggot,” Rondo had said earlier this month. “You’re a f——— faggot, Billy.”

Via the Sacramento Kings, Rondo had this to say last night:

“Yesterday, I said that my words toward Bill Kennedy were unacceptable and did not reflect my feelings toward the LGBT community,” Rondo said in a statement released by his team.

“Some have interpreted my comments as a non-apology. I want to be clear, from the bottom of my heart that I am truly sorry for what I said to Bill. There is no place on or off the court for language that disrespects anyone’s sexual orientation. That is not who I am or what I believe and I will strive every day to be a better person.”

In the wake of the ugly incident, Kennedy came out as an openly gay man.

Donald Trump: “If I Don’t Win It Will Have Been A Complete Waste Of Time”

“Look, okay, if I win, I’ll be extremely happy. And I’ll do a great job.

“If I don’t win, for me, it will have been a total waste of time.

“Despite the man calling me saying it doesn’t mater if you win or lose because what you’ve done has never been done before. I said I disagree with you. If I don’t win, I will consider — even if other people don’t, I know they give me a lot of credit for what’s taken place. And or probably has never happened before. But I will consider it not a success.”
