Montage Of Stephen Miller’s Disastrous Sunday Talk Show Tour

The folks at MSNBC’s Morning Joe recap White House senior policy advisor’s first appearances on the Sunday political talk show.

Yesterday, Stephen Miller made the rounds on Fox News Sunday, ABC News This Week and CBS News Face the Nation armed with massive amounts of the hugest hyperbole ever. It was ‘yuuuuuuge.’

And yes, it’s as bad as we all thought it was.

Check out Joe and Mika’s reactions at the end.

By the way, we all know Trump watches Morning Joe each day…

Grammy Award Winner Al Jarreau Passes Away At 76

Seven-time Grammy Award winner, Al Jarreau, has passed away at the age of 76.

He had recently been hospitalized for exhaustion, and his management announced his remaining 2017 concerts would be cancelled.

From Billboard:

The seven-time Grammy winner had recently announced his retirement from the entertainment business after hospitalized in Los Angeles for exhaustion, according to the Associated Press. It was unclear what he died from at press time, but Jarreau had fought through respiratory and cardiac issues in recent years, TMZ reports.

Jarreau’s biggest single was 1981’s “We’re in This Love Together,” and he was featured on the all-star 1985 song “We Are the World.” Jarreau also sang the theme to television’s Moonlighting.

OUT Journalist Comes Out As Homocon

(image via JoeMyGod)

Out Magazine writer Chadwick Moore (above right) shares with the New York Post that, due to the backlash to his feature article with alt-right homocon Milo Yiannopolous, he now feels the need to “come out” as a homocon himself.

At the time, LGBTs were incensed that Moore treated his subject with such kid gloves. This would perhaps explain why his OUT article was so flowery towards Yiannopolous.

After the article was published, Moore says many longtime friends dropped him, he got the cold-shoulder at this favorite gay bar, and even got called a Nazi for supporting strengthening U.S. borders.

He goes on to declare how liberals actually against free speech, and the many difficulties of being conservative in New York City.

From his  the New York Post:

When I was growing up in the Midwest, coming out to my family at the age of 15 was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Today, it’s just as nerve-wracking coming out to all of New York as a conservative. But, like when I was 15, it’s also weirdly exciting.

I’ve already told my family, and it’s brought me closer to my father. He’s a Republican and a farmer in Iowa, and for years we just didn’t have very much to talk about. But after Trump’s inauguration, we chatted for two hours, bonding over the ridiculousness of lefties. But we also got serious: He told me that he is proud of my writing, and I opened up about my personal life in a way I never had before to him.

I’ve made some new friends and also lost some who refuse to speak to me. I’ve come around on Republican pundit Ann Coulter, who I now think is smart and funny and not a totally hateful, self-righteous bigot. A year ago, this would have been unfathomable to me.

I even went on a date this past week with a good-looking Republican construction worker, someone I previously would not have given a shot.

Moore sounds a bit self-important when he writes, “Coming out to all of New York…” As if everyone in the world knows who he is? Ego can be such a funny thing.

It’s hard to imagine how, reading his essay, that he’s completely the victim in all this. I think he comes across as a bit too butt hurt over the Milo article.

And speaking of butt hurt – perhaps it’s a bit oversharing with “all of New York” to respond this way when asked how the construction worker date went:

SNL Cold Open: Melissa McCarthy Kills Again As “Sean Spicer”

Melissa McCarthy killed it again last night on Saturday Night Live as White House press secretary “Sean Spicer” in the cold open.

I won’t spoil any of the jokes for you. Just watch 🙂

It’s interesting to me that President Trump, who we’ve heard was not amused by the impersonation last week by McCarthy, hasn’t chimed in via Twitter yet.

White House Senior Advisor Doubles Down On Massive, Widespread Voter Fraud

ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos was not having the dodging by White House senior advisor Stephen Miller this morning who doubled down on the president’s unsubstantiated claim of massive, widespread voter fraud.

Miller: “We are going to protect our country from voter fraud.”

Stephanopoulos: “You can start by providing evidence to back up your claims.”

Miller kept repeating his talking points but could not share one iota of proof on voter fraud.

I’ve recently read more about Miller, and apparently he received a lot of attention being a young Republican in high school, and calling into conservative talk radio. It played as cute to have a young, outspoken high schooler talk far right politics.

I think he comes off as “not ready for prime time” at this point. His youth is showing, and it’s not wearing well now that he’s in his 30s.

Speaking of “not ready for prime time,” I do believe I see a new character on Saturday Night Live on the horizon. Just saying…
