TV Theme Songs: ‘Eight Is Enough’

Thinking of the passing of Dick Van Patten yesterday made me a bit sentimental for this clip from the hit 1970s TV show, Eight is Enough. Grant Goodeve, who played the eldest son “David Bradford” performs, in its entirety, what would become the show’s theme song. The song is perfectly 70s, and while I didn’t really get it at the time, I now realize what a huge crush I had on Goodeve. It’s funny to realize today that I never connected the fact that in my own life had lost my mother early on, like the Bradford kids on the series. Also, much like the Bradfords, my family was always headed in different directions, too. Kind of a “rear-view mirror” moment for me. RIP Dick Van Patten.

Fitness guy / bodybuilder Michael Hoffman gets naked - 14 videos for $250!

Bodybuilder Michael “I’m Totally Not Gay” Hoffman shared a video apologizing for taking “fans” money for x-rated videos and not delivering them. “I know there are a lot of forums with people talking about how I have taken money and not returned any videos. I have done that, I’m not gonna lie.” says Hoffman. He then announces a fire sale on his homemade X-rated videos: get 14 videos for the now-low price of $250! The story of Michael Hoffman just gets stranger and stranger. But remember – TOTALLY not gay.

Two cars passing on the highway

Michael has been on LA this week, and now he’s headed home to Vegas as I’m now driving in to LA for a video shoot tomorrow. On the phone with each other we realized we were about to pass on the highway. So we stopped on the side of the road for a quick kiss and pic.  As Jerry Herman wrote “it only takes a moment.” We may be facing different directions some times, but we’re still on the same road together 🙂 #Life

Well hello new SCRUFF cover model Ross Milam.

Hailing from Portland, OR, Ross is both an accomplished athlete and scholar. He wrestled at the national level for his college team — of which he was the only openly gay member — and holds degrees in math and biology. Scruff clearly has good taste.
