Atlantis Cruise: Gorgeous Day In Mykonos

Day Two of my 2026 Atlantis cruise was spent in beautiful Mykonos.

A group of us headed out to Elia Beach where the weather was in fine form. We had a great time although things started out on the bumpy side.

We’d made a reservation for the ten of us at the beach club over a month ago and specifically noted we wanted chairs in the “gay section” of the beach.

But when we arrived the men in charge said we couldn’t sit where we had planned and pointed 200 yards down the beach to another section. They said another group (of 80 people) had a reservation and were coming in two hours.

I politely pointed out we had a proper reservation and were in front of him now.

We never got argumentative, but the gentleman we were dealing with kept waiting for us to quietly go away.

After nearly half an hour we followed him down the beach and agreed to take up residency in the new section. But he was very very very slow to offer to make any amends even though he’d admitted the mistake was on his side.

In any case, we ended up creating our own “gay section” of the beach and a grand time was had by all.

After a quick costume change back on the ship, we headed out for dinner in Mykonos ending the night at a club called Lola’s. #GoodTimes
