The live capture of the Broadway production of Waitress the Musical will be available on digital platforms on January 9. The new release will allow audiences to stream the filmed version of the hit Broadway musical from their homes, using apps like Prime Video, Apple TV, and more. The musical will subsequently be released on VOD, DVD, and Blu-Ray on February 6. From the New York Times:

Waitress
made history in April 2016 as the first Broadway musical to have four women in top creative team spots, with a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and direction by Diane Paulus. I found the stage musical beautiful and fun, and a thoughtful exploration about empowerment and owning our personal choices.
