Trailer: Dark, Psychological Thriller ‘Saltburn’

MGM has dropped the official trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller Saltburn starring Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan. “Come inside. Get Lost. Never leave.” Directed by Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman), the film is described as a “beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire” that finds Keoghan’s “Oliver” obsessed with Elordi’s “Felix.” From the YouTube page:

Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.

Some have dubbed the film a “queer thriller” due to the homoerotic chemistry between Elordi and Keoghan – which is pretty apparent in the trailer. https://youtu.be/lALMdJf6UUE?si=HLPuySqQVpXMEERK The film has earned glowing reviews from critics as it’s made its way on the film festival circuit.

“Saltburn is dynamite, bursting with lust, lies, and laughs — the kind edged with a dark snarl. If loving a movie this willfully seedy, boldly savage, smoking hot, and unnervingly sensational is wrong, then being right is boring.” – Mashable

“Its endless visual and literary layers will bring its ardent admirers back to it again and again, because it is a triumph of the cinema of excess, in all its orgiastic, unapologetic glory.” – EW

Saltburn

arrives in select theaters on November 17 and nationwide on November 22. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cyi13enxeT4/
