Nathan Lane sings about his “Gay Old Life” in a newly-released clip from the upcoming movie DICKS: THE MUSICAL. The official synopsis for the film reads:
Two self-obsessed businessmen – Trevor and Craig (writers Aaron Jackson & Josh Sharp) – discover they’re long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents in this riotously funny and depraved musical from comedy icon Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat).
In the film, Lane plays their father, Harris, who has come out as gay, and Megan Mullally portrays their mother, Evelyn. “It’s a gay old life being queer,” Lane sings in the clip as he describes his daily life of brunches, naps, and European vacations. Eventually, he explains how he rowed through a European sewer and discovered his alien “Sewer Boys.” Mullally joins in at the end for a comedic counterpoint. https://youtu.be/daXO5lXRgas?si=uiH1F8oAYc74wy33 The cast also includes Bowen Yang as God, along with appearances by Megan Thee Stallion, Nick Offerman, and D’Arcy Carden. The film scored the audience award for the ‘Midnight Madness’ block at the Toronto International Film Festival, where the flick had its official premiere. Look for DICKS: THE MUSICAL in select theaters on October 6, then in wide release on October 20. The soundtrack will be released by A24 Music on October 6 as well. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cw8rwUXP1dR/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
