Which States Get The Most (And Least) Amount Of Exercise?

A new study shows the states where people get the most aerobic exercise and the states that get the least. Can you guess where your state landed on the list? According to the 2024 study by Apple and Brigham Women’s Hospital, only 54% of adults put in the recommended 150 minutes a week of aerobic exercise. I’m currently trying to get to the gym more often, but I’m definitely among those who need to get away from my desk more often.

From Axios:

Massachusetts had the highest share of people getting enough exercise (67.2%), followed by New York (66%) and Connecticut (64.1%).

Minnesota (38.5%), Louisiana (41.3%), Oklahoma (41.4%) and West Virginia (41.7%) were the states with the lowest proportion of 150-minute exercisers.

It’s worth noting, however, that this research is based on fitness data from Apple Watches. People who wear an Apple Watch and have their fitness data tracked are probably already among the fitness-conscious. Read more at Axios. https://twitter.com/axios/status/1767268369546244393
