Viral Video: Why I Feel How I Feel About The Election

I realize I haven’t shared my own thoughts on the results of the presidential race this week. Like many, I was numb that a clear majority of American voters chose a man who’s been found liable for sexual assault, guilty of 34 business fraud felonies, and made heated, ugly rhetoric the cornerstone of his campaign. I really didn’t know what was underneath that numbness. And then, I came across this video from TikTok user @sweeper698 that’s now gone viral across nearly every social media platform. I won’t try and sum it up as I think you should hear his very sensible, compassionate thoughts from him. Rory found the words I was looking for. Somehow, hearing all of this verbalized got to the core of exactly what I’ve been feeling, and to some extent, helped me process what happened. When it comes to grief, which is part what I’m feeling, processing those thoughts is a big step to moving forward. I hope this helps some folks. It helped me.
