A shooting involving two teenage girls occurred Sunday night near the Stonewall Inn as NYC Pride was coming to a close.

Officials believe a 16-year-old girl opened fire on a crowd, along with a male accomplice. She struck a 17-year-old girl in the left ankle. The teen was not an intended target.
The 16-year-old girl was shot in the head by the accomplice unintentionally, according to police. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but is now stable.
A gun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered. No arrests have been made as of Monday morning.
