During a campaign rally on Sunday, Donald Trump called for “one real rough, nasty” hour of police retaliation in order to end crime “immediately.”
Trump wants “one rough hour — and I mean REAL rough — the word will get out and it will end immediately.” He’s talking about letting cops run violently amok to PURGE the U.S. of (checks notes) shoplifting. pic.twitter.com/jEsGRdR2Pp

From Politico:
The remarks — delivered by Trump at a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, just 36 days before the election — did not amount to a new policy proposal, according to a Trump campaign official.
“One rough hour — and I mean real rough — the word will get out and it will end immediately, you know? It will end immediately,” Trump said.
Trump’s comments came during a section of his speech in which he falsely suggested you could steal up to $950 worth of merchandise without consequence in California — a reference to Proposition 47, which reclassified some theft offenses from felonies to misdemeanors.
You’ll recall in 2017, Trump has told police “don’t be too nice” to suspects. Harris didn’t “change” the laws. Prop 47 was approved by California voters via ballot initiative. Data released by the FBI shows property crime has declined 2.4% over the last year.
“See, we have to let the police do their job and if they have to be extraordinarily rough.” Donald Trump is advocating for police violence and brutality against Americans. pic.twitter.com/Jqxvnps7Zq
