In another out and out lie, Donald Trump told his cultists that schools are kidnapping students, performing gender swap surgeries without permission, and then sending the kids back home.
“But, uh, the transgender thing is an incredible thing… your kid goes to school & comes home a few days later with an operation. The school decides what’s going to happen with your child and you, many of these childs, 15 years later say, ‘What the hell happened? Who did this to me?’”
Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most. Schools barely have the money to pay school nurses. They do not perform gender-affirming surgeries. For the record, studies show less than 1% of trans people who undergo surgery express any kind of regret later in life.

Trump also brought up Olympic athletes – Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-ting – who were wrongly accused of being transgender at this year’s Olympic Games. Both were identified as female at birth and live as cisgender women.
Trump: He or she ended up winning the gold medal.
