Donald Trump loves to mock President Biden regarding his age and what he calls “cognitive” issues (“He can’t do anything!”), but the Donald has plenty of unforced gaffes and garbles of his own to point to. Last night, while campaigning in New Hampshire, Trump appeared to slur his way through a portion of his stump speech. At one point, where he seemed to be talking about drugs and the death penalty, he said:
“We have become a drug-infested, crime-ridden nation which is incapable of solvin’ even the swollest, smallest problem, the simplest of problems we can no longer solve. We can’t do anything. We are an institute in a powerful death penalty! We will put this on…”
The Biden/Harris campaign was quick to highlight the moment on X: https://twitter.com/BidenHQ/status/1749638608577761385 In the same speech, Trump tossed out a random, jumbled self-quote:
“How foolish, are we? How stupid are our leaders? We can be energy independent and even energy dominant. Yes. Oh, yes. And quickly, says President Trump. We will be there very quickly.”
A confused Trump refers to himself in the third person while reading his teleprompter: “Yes oh yes and quickly says President Trump” pic.twitter.com/x8UgZNVwSl
