Happy Monday! Some news items to start your week:
• Washington Blade: Inside the lonely world of MAGA gay men. I found this to be a very interesting dive into gay Trump supporters, how they justify their views, and how it all plays in their love lives.
• Gayety: Pride House Los Angeles/West Hollywood presented a 25th anniversary screening of the groundbreaking queer film The Broken Hearts Club on Saturday night. The pre-screening Q&A brought together co-stars Billy Porter and Zach Braff, and writer-director Greg Berlanti – who all had stories to tell.
Before queer stories had space in the mainstream, ‘The Broken Hearts Club’ carved out its own.

• Traveling Boyfriends: Every year since 2012, the Gay Travel Index gives a snapshot of how safe and welcoming countries are for LGBTQ people. Davey and Omie breakdown what you actually need to know as a queer traveler.
• The Hill: A growing group of Senate Republicans are losing confidence in Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth due to ongoing turmoil at the Defense Department. Many GOP senators say the former Fox News weekend anchor wouldn’t be confirmed to head the Pentagon if he were renominated by Trump today.

• 60 Minutes 1: Donald Trump (who was found liable for sexual assault) became very defensive calling 60 Minutes‘ Norah O’Donnell “horrible” and a “disgrace” after she read lines from the accused WHCD shooter’s manifesto referencing “rapists” and “pedophiles.” O’Donnell was masterful in her response: “Oh, you think he was referring to you?” #boom

• 60 Minutes 2: Trump is so averse to looking “weak” he lied about falling as he exited the Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night. Everyone trips every now and then. Trump clearly fell, but can’t admit it because of his ego.
trump sees “falling” as SO embarrassing, he’s LYING on 60 Minutes about what we all saw last night: His ass fell like a sack of rotten potatoes.
60 Minutes didn’t even show the clip.
But I have 2 different angles. Why lie about it?
