From CBS News affiliate KOIN:
According to the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, police were originally dispatched to investigate the incident on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. No one was injured and it was initially investigated as a vandalism complaint.
However, police said that due to “concerns that the suspect possibly had a biased intent because a pride flag was displayed directly behind the vandalized window,” the case was referred to Newberg detectives. Then on Friday, police said they identified the person allegedly responsible.
It’s unclear what charges may brought to the juvenile, including whether or not they may include bias crime charges.
However, police said the case is being “referred to the Yamhill County Juvenile Department for prosecution.”
Newberg is about 25 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon. https://youtu.be/trmKOgXsKFA?si=rX3eABimU322tB9z
