Nancy Pelosi Claps Back At Trump’s “Phony Complaints”

Pelosi gives us the most unfair trial in the history of the U.S. Congress, and now she is crying for fairness in the Senate, and breaking all rules while doing so. She lost Congress once, she will do it again!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 23, 2019
The House cannot choose our impeachment managers until we know what sort of trial the Senate will conduct. President Trump blocked his own witnesses and documents from the House, and from the American people, on phony complaints about the House process. What is his excuse now?

Conservative Extremists Whine Over Russian Bot Purge #TwitterLockOut
Conservative Twitter users are crying foul as overnight Twitter seems to have done a purge of thousands of accounts that might have been deemed “bots” or fake automated accounts.
Such accounts were mentioned in the recent indictment against 13 Russian actors by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
While Twitter has made no announcement as to the nature of the “purge,” far-right conservatives are calling the action the work of “communists” and “fascists.”
I’ll be curious to see what Twitter has to say when they finally come forward with some explanation.
As with all tragedies, I want to make sure I send my “thoughts and prayers” to those affected. I’m sure that will make it all better 😉
I lost around 4000 or so. https://t.co/HZRz0y4aJM— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) February 21, 2018
I’ve lost close to 1,000 followers offer the past few hours.Major purge underway.
— Richard 🐉 Spencer (@RichardBSpencer) February 21, 2018
Twitter is currently purging the followers on conservative accounts only. I just lost 3000 followers in one minute. Check out the trending hashtag to confirm that it is ONLY conservative accounts that are being affected.
Holding for an explanation…#twitterlockout— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) February 21, 2018
Trumpers try to understand; the followers you are losing tonight are not real people. They were bots and @Twitter decided enough was enough. You aren’t being censored. You are being awakened to the FACT that you were engaging with hostile foreign agents! #TwitterLockOut pic.twitter.com/zK7RSlm8Rg— Corey Reynolds (@coreyreynoldsLA) February 21, 2018
If, like me, you didn’t lose ANY followers, that means the Russian bots didn’t care about you. https://t.co/byVT0A6gWh— JoeMyGod (@JoeMyGod) February 21, 2018
I didn’t lose 1.— Boy Culture Blog (@mattrett) February 21, 2018

Trump Complains “Despite Only Negative Reporting, We Are Doing Well”
On Christmas Eve, Donald Trump took to Twitter to rant yet again about how he’s not getting enough credit for his “achievements” and how the media ignores how “Big” and “Strong” his “BASE” is.
The Fake News refuses to talk about how Big and how Strong our BASE is. They show Fake Polls just like they report Fake News. Despite only negative reporting, we are doing well – nobody is going to beat us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

I’ll admit I don’t understand the odd, strange use of capital letters.
What doesn’t make any sense, however, is that the number one source of news for most Americans is (sadly) Fox News which trumpets and fawns over every poo-poo and burp President Cheeto eeks out.
So, if Fox News is constantly sharing glowing reviews of Trump’s work, how can he say there’s “only negative reporting?”
#Sad
By the way, did I mention Trump’s approval rating per the Gallup Daily Tracking poll is a dismal 38%? It’s pretty much the same story over at the Real Clear Politics job approval average.
So. Much. Whining.
Donald Trump Demands “Equal Time” From Late Night Talk Show Hosts
Donald Trump took to the Twitter airwaves this bright Saturday morning to bemoan how “unfair” it is that late night talk show hosts are always “anti-Trump.”
“Late Night host are dealing with the Democrats for their very “unfunny” & repetitive material, always anti-Trump! Should we get Equal Time?
“More and more people are suggesting that Republicans (and me) should be given Equal Time on T.V. when you look at the one-sided coverage?”
Of course, what the Trumpster doesn’t care to mention is there’s an entire news network devoted to pushing his point of view.
Plus, as president, he gets any and all the coverage he could want. He stands behind a microphone and everyone’s listening.
But the real problem here is that Trump clearly doesn’t understand what the “equal time” rule is.
The smart folks at ThinkProgress help us out.
This is not how the equal time rule works. The rule requires that, if a radio or television station gives a certain opportunity (say, an interview, a commercial, hosting a show) to one candidate, it must also offer that opportunity to “other such candidates for that office.” The idea is to prevent media companies and broadcast stations from providing only one candidate’s viewpoint to the people in an effort to influence elections.
If anyone is in a position to ask for equal time, it’s Rep. John Delaney (D-MD), the only candidate to declare he is running for president other than Trump.
So, “equal time” is about keeping things fair for candidates running for office.
Funny, Trump didn’t complain during the 2016 primary and general election about all the extra TV time he received on a daily basis.

Dear @realDonaldTrump don’t mention “Equal Time” to your friends at State Media @FoxNews. They’d have to scrap HALF their talent/programming https://t.co/RyuBlqXjhc— Mrs. Betty Bowers (@BettyBowers) October 7, 2017
That’s not how it works. You’re not campaigning. You’re the president. Now kindly stop tweeting nonsense and go do your job for once. https://t.co/KoKf0xUNdR— Mike DiCenzo (@mikedicenzo) October 7, 2017
Tweet Of The Day
Proving there really is a Trump tweet for everything, here’s a classic from 2012:
“Obama’s complaints about Republicans stopping his agenda are BS since he had full control for two years. He can never take responsibility.”
Contrast that with the Trumpster’s tweet today decrying no help from Democrats on the health care bill they were excluded from working on:
With only a very small majority, the Republicans in the House & Senate need more victories next year since Dems totally obstruct, no votes!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 18, 2017
#SoMuchWhining
Bonus tweet! How about this nugget from 2013 on “leadership?” So, if health care reform doesn’t happen, he’s gonna take responsibility?
Leadership: Whatever happens, you’re responsible. If it doesn’t happen, you’re responsible.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 8, 2013
Today In “How To Waste Time And Money”
BREAKING: Bernie Sanders’ campaign says it has requested a recanvass in Kentucky presidential primary. pic.twitter.com/yRUxSP2Up1— AP Politics (@AP_Politics) May 24, 2016
I just have to ask, “What is the purpose of this exercise?”
From the Washington Post:
Sanders opted not to request a full recount, which his campaign would have had to pay for. The recanvass would simply lead to a review of voting machine tallies and absentee ballots, to determine whether human error switched any of the reports to the secretary of state. At stake: One delegate from the sixth congressional district, which covers the state capitol in Frankfort and the state’s second largest city, Lexington, and where the initial count found a Clinton lead of just a few hundred votes.
That ONE delegate is really gonna close Hillary’s delegate lead of +280.
There’s a way to exit gracefully, Bernie. There really is.
Donald Trump Picks A Fight On CNN Over Network’s “Incompetent” Coverage
Donald Trump, speaking with CNN’s Chris Cuomo this morning, had a virtual meltdown over his media coverage as he sees his poll numbers dropping to number two as Dr. Ben Carson’s numbers rise.
From The Hill:
Moments into his more than 20-minute interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Trump offered a broadside against a CNN reporter who covered his book signing in New York the previous day.
“Sara Murray didn’t report it very well because she never flips the camera to show the lines. I think she’s absolutely terrible, your reporter,” Trump told host Chris Cuomo.
“Either she’s a very unemotional person or she’s not a very good reporter,” Trump continued, adding later, “Maybe she’s a low-key individual and doesn’t believe in showing the crowds.”
“I don’t know if that’s because she is incompetent, or she doesn’t like me or maybe she’s given instructions from up above. Who knows. I don’t really care,” Trump said.
Hillary Clinton On This Week’s GOP Debate Whining

After her marathon 11 hour testimony before Congress, I can imagine Hillary Clinton has little sympathy for the Republican candidates who complained about the questions at their two hour debate this week.
Snork!
