The results of a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS shows Democratic presidential contenders Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have each surged nearly ten points since the first debates last week.
Harris saw the biggest increase from 8 percent support to 17 percent, and Warren jumped 8 points from 7 percent to 15 percent.
Former Vice President Joe Biden dropped a precipitous ten points from 32 percent support to 22 percent.
And Mayor Pete Buttigieg, despite getting strong response for his debate performance, dropped one percent.
Asked ‘who did the best job in the debates,” the hands-down favorite was Harris with 41 percent saying she won.
Former Vice President Joe Biden surprised folks today by visiting the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City.
NBC News reports that, following two fund-raisers, Biden strolled into the West Village bar and chatted up patrons while taking photos with supporters.

In that this is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which began the modern LGBTQ rights movement, the landmark has garnered several visits by high profile folks like Madonna, Taylor Swift and now Biden.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders would trump Trump by 6 points, 48% – 42% respectively.
Some Democrats did better than Trump but within the statistical margin of error:
• Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren 47% to Trump’s 43%
• California Sen. Kamala Harris 45% to Trump’s 44%
• Former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke 45% to Trump’s 44%
• Mayor Pete Buttigieg 44% to Trump’s 43%
Also from the survey:
• Democrats back Joe Biden 91 – 3 percent versus Republicans backing Trump 90 – 7 percent.
• Florida voters are not hip on impeaching Trump 62 percent against versus 32 percent who support.
• 54 percent of Florida voters say they are better off today than they were in 2016; 23 percent say they are worse off.
• But Trump’s approval rating is still upside down: 44% approval versus disapproval at 51%.
On the Democrats side, Joe Biden has a huge lead among his fellow contenders garnering 41 percent.
It drops a lot to the second place with Sanders getting 14 percent, Warren 12 percent, Buttigieg 8 percent and Harris scoring 6 percent.
While Trump won Florida’s 29 electoral votes in 2016, he beat Hillary Clinton by only 1.2 points – 49 percent to 47.8 percent respectively. So anything along the lines of this poll is devastating for Trump.
The Hill is reporting that former Vice President Joe Biden holds a 30-point lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the Democratic presidential field, according to a Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll.
• 44% Joe Biden • 14% Sen. Bernie Sanders • 9% Sen. Kamala Harris
All other candidates garnered 5 percent or less.
Biden also has the confidence of voters who were asked who would be the best choice to beat Donald Trump. Forty percent named Biden, while Sanders came in a distant 13 percent.
Donald Trump must be getting waaaay nervous about former Vice President Joe Biden jumping into the presidential race.
Bloomberg reports the Trumpster retweeted more than five dozen tweets this morning, almost all anti-Biden in nature.
Biden, who announced his candidacy last week, has focused on blue collar, Rust Belt voters who helped Trump win in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.
On Monday, the International Association of Firefighters endorsed Biden as several polls show Biden the clear front-runner among Democratic candidates.
But the endorsement clearly got under Trump’s skin.
“I’ve done more for Firefighters than this dues sucking union will ever do, and I get paid ZERO!” Trump said in one posting to his nearly 60 million followers on the social media platform.
I’ve done more for Firefighters than this dues sucking union will ever do, and I get paid ZERO! https://t.co/Tw0qwTiUD6
The retweets were replies to an earlier tweet by Fox News personality Dan Bongino, who announced that the firefighters he knew weren’t lining up behind Biden.
I cannot wait to vote for the greatest president ever
24 years plus firefighter here,& there’s no chance Biden is my choice. #NoMoJoe Actually, no one on the left has the American workers best interests in mind. Higher taxes, bigger government & mass giveaway plans does not help the American “Worker”. @POTUS works 4 every American

As a retired FF I know that the majority of the rank and file are conservative or moderate and DO NOT support liberal democrats!
In a reaction to the announcement by former Vice President Joe Biden that he will run for president in 2020, Donald Trump offered a backhanded (and questionable) comment about his own, and Biden’s, current physical conditions.
“Well, I just feel like a young man. I’m so young. I can’t believe it. I’m the youngest person — I am a young vibrant man. I look at Joe, I don’t know about him.”
Q: “How old is too old to be president.”

In a video to his supporters, former Vice President acknowledged how ‘social norms are changing,’ and promised he will change how he approaches people and their personal space.
The video message was accompanied by this caption: “Social norms are changing. I understand that, and I’ve heard what these women are saying. Politics to me has always been about making connections, but I will be more mindful about respecting personal space in the future. That’s my responsibility and I will meet it.”
In the video, Biden underscores that he’s tried to make a human connection with people throughout his career – by taking someone’s hands, rubbing their shoulders, telling them they ‘can do this.’
I think this strikes just the right tone and message Biden has needed to bring to this issue.

The announcement comes after a former Nevada politician accused Biden of making her uncomfortable some years ago when he put his hands on her shoulders and kissed her head right before a campaign event.
As I’ve expressed here before, I think intention is important in how we view these allegations.
There’s a difference between someone sticking their tongue down your throat, and someone putting their hands on your shoulders intended as a gesture of support.
According to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll, former Vice President Joe Biden leads Donald Trump, 44% over 37% respectively, in a hypothetical match-up for the 2020 presidential election.
Regarding party support, the survey shows Biden currently enjoys 80% support from Democrats versus a slightly less strenuous 78% of Republicans for the Donald.
Biden has told the press regrets not running in 2016 but didn’t after the passing of his son, Beau. He has indicated he’s considering 2020 bid.
While many in the Democratic party say they want a younger, new face to be the party standard-bearer, I saw whatever gets it done as long as the candidate is qualified.
Earlier this week, former Vice President Joe Biden told an audience that he might have “beat the hell out of” Donald Turmp if they were in high school regarding Trump’s lewd comments about women in the now-infamous “Access Hollywood” video.
“They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no. I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” Biden shared with the crowd at the University of Miami.
I’m guessing Trump ate his Wheaties (although that sounds awfully healthy for him) this morning, because he was feeling a rough and tough about Biden tweeting “Crazy Joe Biden” would actually “go down fast and hard” if they actually faced off.
Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!
Biden is rumored to be considering a White House run in 2020 which is probably what really set Trump off.
I won’t even get into the “less-than-presidential” thing with Trump.
Cadet Bone Spurs, who ran off stage at one of his rallies and claimed someone tried to assassinate him with a cardboard sign, was terrified by an eagle flapping its wings, is afraid of immigrants, Muslims, strong women, stairs, etc., thinks his big mouth makes him a tough guy. 😂 https://t.co/bh7V3f2c8h
If only Trump would say this about Vladimir Putin – a man who attacked our nation. Whatever Putin has on Trump must be HORRIBLE! https://t.co/QJ2D0Q3SuX
