Colin Gray sentenced to 15 years in prison for providing his son Colt with an assault rifle used in Georgia school shooting that left 4 dead

Colin Gray, the father of Georgia teen Colt Gray – who killed four people in a 2024 school shooting – was sentenced today to 15 years in prison in a high-profile legal case testing the limits of who can be held responsible for a mass shooting.

Colin was convicted of murder and manslaughter earlier this year after buying his son an AR-15-style rifle as a Christmas gift and leaving it unsecured — despite warnings the teen was a danger to others.

GA School Shooter Gets Life In Prison Without Parole

Colt Gray sentenced to life in prison without parole for school shooting in Atlanta suburb

Colt Gray, 16, was sentenced today to life in prison without parole for the deadly September 24, 2024, shooting at Apalachee High School that left two students and two teachers dead along with nine more wounded.

Update: Georgia School Shooter Identified As 14-Year-Old

UPDATE: A 14-year-old student has been charged with murder after allegedly killing four people (two teachers, two students) and injuring nine others in a shooting Wednesday at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Axios reports Georgia Bureau of Investigations Director Chris Hosey identified the shooter as Colt Gray, and said he will be tried as an adult. Parents Of Michigan School Shooter Sentenced To 10-15 Years Prison
