Michael Henry: Things Gays Will (And Won’t) Put In Their Bodies

When funny guy Michael Henry runs into Randy (Adrian Anchondo) on the streets of West Hollywood, it quickly becomes clear that Randy is not up for the coronavirus vaccine.

“I don’t know what’s in that,” says Randy with a shrug.

But Henry points out that not only does Randy smoke cigarettes and buy gas station viagra but he hippy hopped down to Mexico for the super-spreader event known as the Jeffrey Sanker New Year’s Eve White Party – “but you won’t take a vaccine?”

Randy does share that he did all the proper preparing for PV during a pandemic – “Botox, filler, and some juice to make my muscles look swole.”

More stuff Randy puts in his body – but won’t take a vaccine…

Hit the play button below as Michael Henry tries to make sense out of the circular logic.

Gay Party Boat In Puerto Vallarta Goes Down (And Not In A Good Way)

I just saw on Twitter the gay party boat, PV Delice, that goes out on the ocean for hours as the gays merrily drink, drink, drink apparently capsized and sank to the bottom of the ocean.

The trouble began at about 5 pm on Thursday according to OutAndAboutPV. The boat, carrying approximately 60 people had begun its trip back to the dock when the boat took on water.

Emilio Blanco, visiting from Chicago, Illinois, shared photos from the disaster telling OutAndAboutPV, “It was like the Titanic, it went all down slowly.”

Blanco said he wasn’t sure what caused the gay party boat to go down, but did note that the ocean was “a bit choppy.”

“I think the crew just didn’t know how to maneuver the catamaran very well,” he added. “We were about to sail back to Puerto Vallarta, but the catamaran barely moved.”

Fortunately, ten small boats responded to an SOS and showed up in time to help rescue passengers. Blanco shared that fortunately there were no injuries or deaths.

OutAndAboutPV reached out to the operators of PV Delice for comment but hasn’t heard back yet.

It’s been quite the week for the party gays in PV as Jeffrey Sanker’s annual White Party quietly went undercover and moved to a new location after the coronavirus surged in Puerto Vallarta.

A representative from Puerto Vallarta’s tourism board contacted me to let me know that the subsequent beach parties at Mantamar Beach Club, which were part of the Sanker extravaganza, were also canceled.

As we come to the end of the deadliest month of the coronavirus pandemic, circuit party impresario Jeffrey Sanker is prepping White Party Puerto Vallarta to begin a week of New Year’s celebrations super spreader events nicknamed WPPV20/21.

This might be a bad time to get infected with COVID-19. Vallarta Daily News reported on Christmas Day the Puerto Vallarta Regional Hospital is at 100% occupancy with COVID-19 patients. Additionally, the state of Jalisco has reached a 65% positivity rate in testing.

Sanker’s official website states health and safety guidelines will be practiced including limited event capacity, temperature checks, and masks required for entry (bolding is mine).

Does anyone have a feeling the masks will come off after entering the events?

The promotional materials also read: “All state guidelines will be enforced for all guests.”

Speaking of guidelines, VisitPuertoVallarta.com recently announced that NEW guidelines are being implemented from December 25 – January 10, 2021 that include:

• Suspension of bars and clubs in Puerto Vallarta at 19:00 hours (7 pm)
• New Year’s parties and events will be suspended

That last bit of information might come as a surprise to Sanker and company as his 10 pm event at Industry Nightclub (which Sanker apparently owns) on January 1 is already sold out.

The other three events are being held at Mantamar Beach Club, which is at least outdoors. However, the December 30 event is announced to begin at 6 pm, so…an hour of party time?

Some folks chimed in on Sanker’s Facebook page regarding the possibility of the events spreading the virus even more.

Sanker canceled the 2020 edition of his White Party Palm Springs earlier this year.

I reached out to Sanker for any updates or changes being considered for White Party Puerto Vallarta in light of the new guidelines. No word back at this time.

Gay Man Shot In Puerto Vallarta: The Media Is Still Not Listening To Us

Carl Blea and husband Marc Lange

Carl Blea, the Palm Springs real estate agent who was shot while holding hands with his husband in the late night hours in Puerto Vallarta, says he’s learned an important lesson.

Via The Desert Sun:

Blea regrets not being more careful walking through the streets at 2:30 a.m., mainly because he was holding hands with Lange. He said he will think twice before being physically affectionate towards his husband in another country.

“If anything, that’s the biggest lesson I learned,” Blea said. “You just never know who you may come across who may hate that.”

Blea told the Sun that although he received visits from the chief of police and a rep from the mayor while in the hospital, the media has continued to report the incident as a botched robbery rather than a hate crime.

“They’re really not listening to us,” he said of the media in Mexico.

Blea has repeatedly told the media that the shooter never spoke to them. Blea says the incident was a hate crime based on he and his husband being gay.
