The New York Times takes a deeper dive into Rep. George Santos (R-NY) and his alleged animal charity group.

A few weeks ago, I shared the story of a disabled veteran and his beloved dog Sapphire. who turned to truth-challenged Rep. George Santos (R-NY) and his animal rescue group in 2016 when Richard Osthoff’s dog needed medical treatment.

Santos set up a GoFundMe campaign, which was a success, but Santos never gave the donated funds to Osthoff. Sapphire never received the treatment she needed, and sadly, passed away a few months later.

The New York Times has now taken a deeper dive into Santos’ so-called animal rescue group, Friends of Pets United, and found other folks who say they were also deceived by Santos. Continue reading “NY Times Takes Deeper Dive Into George Santos’ Animal Rescue”

Donald Trump “Embarrassed” Mike Pence Has Pets, Calls Them “Low Class”

Vice President Mike Pence (L) and Donald Trump (R)

Just one more horrible thing to learn about Donald Trump.

Last week, folks were quoting an article at The Atlantic by Mckay Coppins wherein Donald Trump was quoted as saying Vice President Mike Pence wants to “hang” all the gays.

But what didn’t get hardly any attention was the next paragraph where a White House adviser shared that Trump was embarrassed that Pence brought his family pets with him to Washington, D.C.

Apparently, Donald Trump thinks having pets is “low class.”

When it was reported last January that the Pences would be moving some of their family pets—which include two cats, a rabbit, and a snake—into the Naval Observatory, Trump ridiculed the menagerie to his secretary, according to a longtime adviser. “He was embarrassed by it; he thought it was so low class,” says the adviser. “He thinks the Pences are yokels.”

Python can open doors

Horrified! Oh. Mah. Gawd.

Am I the only one who’s nervous watching this?

The videos, which star a 16-foot albino burmese python, was uploaded two years ago by Vimeo user Jenner. However, the snake, named “Julius,” is the latest pet to experience Internet fame.

According to Jenner, when the snake is tired of being in a dark room, “she flips on the light, opens the door and bails.”

“This is why we keep doors locked with her around. We don’t need her harassing the neighbors,” add Jenner in the video description.

Clearly the kids aren’t afraid.  So maybe the fear is only mine.
